Wrekin Forest Events Festival, Wedding & Special Celebrations Space

We have created a beautiful space, on the outskirts of Wellington, near Telford, Shropshire, (please don’t come to Shrewsbury), here you can have your forest & festival wedding blessing, post marriage celebration, renewal of vows or any other milestone celebration, party or mini festival! A totally bespoke, unique and beautiful setting to celebrate with friends and family! Re-create that festival feeling or just embrace the natural beauty of the forest. Enter our wonderful tree lined, lawn & meadow area, with a lovely open space containing your barn, bar area, fire space and log seating & tables. A secret pathway has been created through the woodland for the bride’s arrival.

Come and make this space your own by adding your decorations, perhaps you want additional bunting to weave through the barn, hang your colourful paper balls or add wild flowers to fill the barn, maybe you wish to personalise the bridal pathway. We will leave the personal touches to you!

Give your special celebration a unique twist and bring it to our woodland setting, you can combine the wonderful setting of our party venue with a little active adventure for all the family at Forest School, perhaps some archery and air rifle shooting or team building fun during the afternoon. Combine our two sites to create your unique experience. Camp over night to complete your celebration!

What you will get?

Forest Festival Package – from £2,950 up to 150 guests (from £3,700 for 2020 & 2021), from £2,100 for up to 60 guests (from £2,500 for 2020 & 2021)

This is a package created for those very special occasions, celebrating your wedding for example. We have put together a package that means you are assured of a wonderful, stress free event in a beautiful setting, where we will work tirelessly to ensure everything is perfect for your special event. the events site & camp site will be exclusively yours!

  • includes access for preparation & decorating the two days before, 10am-5pm and on the day of the event from 8am, as well as pre & post event deliveries & collections
  • barn with integrated dance floor, disco lights, stage, two wooden trestle tables and benches & some log seating in the barn and log seating, log tables, cushions and rugs for outside
  • covered bar/food area
  • 3m square catering tent & gazebo for additional shelter
  • simple festival decoration including fairy lights & hessian bunting 
  • basic music/sound system and small generator for lighting (hire of a larger generator may be required if running additional electrical appliances such as refrigeration or running a big band or major disco lighting)
  • Bell Tent set as a lounge/chill out area (could be converted for an overnight sleeping area)
  • 12m Star sun shade/rain shelter
  • garden games
  • compost toilets (additional toilets can be hired, this is advised for larger events)
  • two nights security, the night before (8pm-8am) and the day of the event security will assist with parking & help in any other way that is useful (2pm-1am or as required)
  • marshmallows for the fire pit with logs supplied
  • sparkling reception, drink & canapés
  • full service for your drinks and canapés, monitoring the event site, collecting & tidying as required (see package below if you wish us to provide the additional drink, & food)
  • I will be there to host and help as necessary

  • next day clearing up service, includes sorting of & disposal of recycling, clearing of general rubbish and returning the site to its original layout.

Package one – £9.95 per person:

  • sparkling desserts, a selection of finger desserts & a glass of Prosecco for your toast
  • additional waiters/waitresses as required

Package two – £14.95 per head :

  • selection of finger food, wraps & sandwiches, scotch eggs, mini quiches & sausages with salad garnish & crisps
  • macaroons & small ‘finger’ desserts, eg strawberry tarts, mini lemon meringue pies, mini meringues
  • additional waiters/waitresses as required

Package three – £75, up to two hours of staffed forest school entertainment

Additional drinks can be obtained from ‘Cocktails 2 You’, ‘Beer Buz’, Champavan or similar or perhaps provide your own or do a bring & share.

On your special day I will attend and make sure all is well, but it is wise to have an usher or similar to be at the site ahead of time to add those final touches, put ice in your drinks cart, light your candles and light your fire pit etc. Additional Waiter/Waitress, clearing & washing up service provided at £35 per hour for two.

Forest Vintage Package –  from £1,250 up to 100 guests with one day of security & from £995 for celebrations of 30 people or less without security (from £1,900 for up to 100 guests, from £995 for under 30 guest for 2020 & 2021), the events site & camp site will be exclusively yours!

  • includes access for preparations and decorating the day before your event, 10am-5pm and opening up for post event collections
  • the lawn will be mowed, the generator fuelled, the leisure battery will be charged, the site will be clear and ready for you to make your own
  • barn with integrated dance floor, disco lights, small stage, two wooden trestle tables and benches in the barn and log seating, log tables, cushions and rugs for outside
  • covered bar area
  • simple vintage decoration including fairy lights & floral and hessian bunting
  • fire pit & marshmallows with logs supplied
  • basic music/sound system and small generator for lighting
  • Bell Tent
  • 12m Star sun shade/rain shelter
  • garden games
  • compost toilets (additional toilets can be hired, this is advised for larger events)
  • 3m square catering tent & gazebo
  • two man security & parking assistance from 2pm-1am (or as required) on the day of the event, additional security must be arranged for the night before if hiring items such as a generator or refrigeration vehicle where they are being left on site the night before.
  • a glass of fizz or juice upon arrival
  • I will be there to host and help as necessary along with one other staff member (additional waitering/waitressing can be purchased for your evening tidying & washing up, it is your responsibility to return borrowed glasses washed)
  • unlimited camping pitches
  • next day clearing up service, includes sorting of & disposal of recycling, clearing of general rubbish and returning the site to its original layout.
  • April-Mid October inclusive
  • £500 deposit upon booking

Forest Rustic & Forest Winter Packages – Set Price £595 for up to 60 guests for a milestone celebration and £995 for a wedding celebration, the events site & camp site exclusively yours (additional services are included for a wedding celebration, please see below, prices will be held in 2020 & 2021)

If you have sixty or less people and you are planning to keep it elegantly simple, with low amplification or acoustic music or maybe a brass band followed by your own music set with the use of our simple amplifier & not having a full surround sound disco or large band then this might be the package for you!

Embrace this option if you are looking to have a intimate party, available from spring through to Christmas, perhaps you are renewing your vows or want to celebrate a milestone birthday, perhaps a special pre-Christmas event.

This is a site only option, the lawn will be mowed, the generator fuelled, the leisure battery will be charged, the site will be clear and ready for you to make your own, a twinkly Christmas appearance or a festival theme, the choice is yours. 

  • includes access for preparation & decorating the day before and on the day of the event, additional time may be booked at £35 per opening including any extra need to open up for pre event deliveries & post event collections
  • barn with integrated dance floor, disco lights, small stage, two wooden trestle tables and benches & some log seating in the barn and log seating, log tables, cushions and rugs for outside space
  • covered bar area
  • simple decoration including fairy lights & bunting
  • fire pit & marshmallows with logs supplied
  • basic music/sound system and small generator for basic electricity & barn lighting and leisure battery for additional festoon lighting
  • Bell Tent
  • 12m Star sun shade/rain shelter (be aware this may not be available after October or in high winds)
  • compost toilets
  • 3m square catering tent with 3 tables
  • supply & washing up of reusable plastic glasses 
  • unlimited camping pitches, shepherds huts, pitched tents & Pig Arc are at an additional rate
  • Wedding celebrations (higher priced package only) a glass of fizz or juice, two staff to help with serving, washing up & general guest assistance.
  • April-December inclusive
  • Deposit: £250 upon booking
  • Higher priced option includes assisting you with clearing the site after your event. 

If you choose this option I will leave you to sort all your extras out, decoration and personalisation of the site, arrangements for food and drink and setting up the site. We are happy to remove SORTED rubbish & recycling for the higher priced option. 

We are happy to provide additional waiter and waitress service at £35 per hour for two. There will be no security provided, insurance of any equipment brought onto the sight are entirely your responsibility.

  • Fully furnished couples ‘Shepherds Hut,  £65 per night, includes bed linen & towels & a bottle of wine or bubbles, second family shepherds hut, £60, both include chairs, single burner stove & kettle, dogs welcome for an additional £5 per stay
  • Pig Arc, £35 per night, sleeps up to four 
  • Six berth tent up and ready to go, £45 per night
  • Several fire pit spaces with seating, small BBQ, fully equipped kitchen & eating area
  • Compost toilets
  • Forest School Activities package maybe added at £75 for two hrs 

Hen Do’s & Other Do’s: – set price £495 for whole events & camp site exclusively yours for up to 20 guests for two night.

Do you want to celebrate something special in beautiful surroundings and have access to near by fun then this could be for you! We are on the door-step of ‘Wrekin Spirit Gin School’, £70 per person, but 10% discount applied when booking 12 or more into ‘Gin School’, here you & you gin making partner get to distill your very own personal bottle of Gin, a great fun activity for a hen do, you will have a tour of the distillery too. In addition you could perhaps have a go at the team building course, archery & air rifle shooting in forest school, £75 for a two hr session; we are in driving distance of Shrewsbury & Telford, beautiful walks in the surrounding area or the near-by Wrekin. The total cost per person based on 20 people is under £100 per person. Vouchers for the whole package or just for ‘Gin School’ are available upon request.

  • Setting up the site & clearing it at the end, including removing rubbish & recycling is entirely your responsibility, leaving no trace. 

Children & Young peoples Family Forest Celebration: – set price £120 for up to 30 guests, where the person celebrating is under 18 years old.

Do you want a party that’s not in a village hall? This is an opportunity for you to have a children’s & young persons celebration with family & friends where they don’t want a standard forest school children’s party. Space for a bouncy castle, options to camp afterwards.

Places to stay: On our site is of course one option, but if this is not for you there are other places locally.

Hadley Park Hotel, The Queens at Horton, The Stables, which is just up the road try, ‘Sykes 911743’ just off Crudgington Moor Lane, Travel Lodge at Shawbirch.

There is so much to organise for any event, we often need good contacts & a helping hand! Additional toilets and a generator are advised for bigger events, you may wish to have refrigeration too, ensure you have thought about the little details that may need doing just prior to your event, perhaps have an usher or friend that can add the ice to your drinks cart, put those last minute things out, organise parking, set the fire in the fire pit etc,

Security: We have several contacts who will provide a professional security service, they will assist with tidying during the day, help with parking etc, £400 per night for two, this is charged at actual cost.

To comply with licensing ALL MUSIC MUST STOP BY 11.30PM. If you are camping and wish to continue you celebration then perhaps try a silent disco to follow your band/disco, various companies will hire the headsets for this fun activity or retire to the ‘Bell Tent’!

Terms & Conditions: Wrekin Forest School will take every care to provide all that you need to make your celebration a success. We have provided a designated space in which to have your celebration and this space is kept, as far as possible, safe for your celebration and for the possibility of overnight camping. The woodland beyond this designated space is not maintained to a safe standard and therefore should not be entered at any time, the main Forest School area should not be explored without being purchased as part of your package. Log seating should be returned to their original positions if moved.

  • A non-refundable deposit of £250 for ‘Forest Rustic & Winter’ & £500 For ‘Festival & Vintage’ packages must be paid upon booking and final payment must be made a minimum of two weeks prior to the event date, the deposit is transferable but not refundable.

  • No glass may be used on the site, other than bottles. Because we love our natural environment and care about the true owners of our woodland, the wild-life, we will provide you with reusable plastic cups and would ask that you only use natural confetti.
  • All amplified music must stop before 11.30pm. Continue to celebrate with a silent disco or non-amplified playlist. 

Forest School adventure activities take place in the School space and must be led by a qualified leader provided by WFS. We can provide archery, air rifle shooting etc as part of your celebration using qualified staff at an additional cost of £75 for two hrs.
