Pop-Up Forest School
Do you need a temporary version of forest school to make your event perfect? Then we are ready and willing to create “Pop-up Forest School’ on your site. Perhaps you have a fair at your school or village space, or maybe a community project is booked and needs an exciting allternative attraction, use us to supply a fun packed day or half day of outdoor activity to suit your site, including marshmallows cooked over the fire pit!
- Half day (up to three hours) £165
- Full day (up to 6 hours) £210
This includes two qualified members of staff, insurance, equipment and resources, pop up fire, marshmallows and other food for cookery activities.
Stay and Play Sessions:
These are sessions designed for parents and children to come and enjoy all that our lovely woodland setting has to offer. We will help you do archery, cookery and woodcraft. You can enjoy all the other activities together as a family. Price is for 3yrs & above & is £5 per person, family ticket is £25.
Spring special will be Monday 9th April, 10.30-1pm.
Family Fun Days
Our next family fun special will be our ‘Bonfire Night’ special, Sunday 4th November 2018, 3.30pm-6pm, for those 5yrs & over £10 per head or £50 for a family ticket, prices includes all activities, fireworks, baked potaoes, cheese & beans and mulled wine as well of all the usual seasonal fun and apple bobbing, bring your pumkin to carve.

What will this cost?
PPA cover at supply rate (£165)
£165 for whole day of site preparation, planning and consultation at your school (9am – 3pm).
£90 for half a day and £165 for a full day for a regular contract using your nursery/school premises, with no more than 25 children per session and with no more than two session per half day or three sessions per whole day, where all basic supplies and equipment is supplied by the school.
For a regular set of sessions, ie at least 6 sessions £110-£130 for up to 40 children in WFS woods for half a day with the necessary number of WFS staff (9.30am-12.30pm) or £190 for whole days (9.30am-2.30pm) for up to 40 children/young people, again with the necessary number of WFS staff. Staff ratios must be provided by the school attending, our staff cover the major areas of activity.
Up to 2 hour morning or afternoon sessins are priced from £60.
For one off school visits, £5.50 per child (min charge £190) if you come to WFS wood for one off visits with up to 80 children for an end of term or one off celebration, this covers equipment, with up to five members of WFS staff (attendance number dependent), insurance, drinks and marshmallows roasted on the open fire (lunch provided by attendees). Staff ratios must be provided by the school attending.
Travel expenses will be charges when travel exceeds 20 miles, currently at 45p per additional mile.
After School Clubs, Cubs, Scout, Brownies and other specialised/organised groups:
Two hour sessions held at WFS are from £60 for groups of up to 30 children/young people accompanied by their usual staff ratio and include all activities, equipment, insurance and marshmallows. A three hour session is required if you are wishing to have cooked food which can be provided at an additional charge of £30.
Keep in mind what this price includes: one WFS staff member (additional staff members can be provided by prior arrangement and at an extra cost) , drinks, marshmallows, activities relating to specific needs of the group, equipment & insurance, food can also be provided for open fire cooking for which a minimum of a three hour session is required, along with the additional £30.
Clubs, group and educational organisations – Overnight camps are available, please see below an example of what can be booked:

10-11am – arrival & set up camp site area (we can provide some tents, 7m bell tent and two sheperds huts for an additional cost)
12 noon – Lunch, I will provide a soup, toast & fruit & yogurt etc
12.30pm – Children wash & dry up from lunch

12.45/1pm – Activities begin:
Make cakes mixture up to be cooked for afternoon tea
Fire lighting skills
Gut fish, peel veg for meat casserole & other prep for evening meal
Vegetarian option will be available if needed (baked potatoes & grated cheese)
3pm – Afternoon tea
One member of WFS staff to assist
4pm – Free play time & any finishing of woodcraft etc and tea time help
5/5.30pm – Tea time
7pm – WFS staff leave you to your marshmallows, hot chocolate and songs round the fire
You wake up and sort your breakfast (BBQ available or come up to FS and use main fire area) and pack up your tents.

9am – Archery & air rifle shooting, free play
10.30am –Snack time
10.45am – Make pizza & hot dog sausage rolls
12noon – Lunch time, pizza, sausage rolls & beans
1pm – Depart
Day 1:- £190
Food – £6 per person including adults to include all food, snacks and drinks
Overnight camp £30 total for your own tents, but I have purchased a 7m bell tent that could be used for an additional £30.
Day 2: £90
Food – £3 per head to include snacks and lunch (not including breakfast)
This is roughly £35 per head if there are only 12 children and will not increase if you bring 24 and covers set up/prep time, clear down time, everything from resources for activities , to insurance and all food except breakfast as well as all pots and pans, plates and cups. I hope you feel this is fair.
Teens Go Wild
- All attendees must be 12 years and over
- Price – £25 per person (min price £250 for the weekend).
- April to October ONLY

- £25 per child, 1:2 – £35, 1:1 – £45, which includes equipment, insurance and all food and drink!
- Half day £20 – 10am – 2pm. This will include a cooked lunch, snacks & drinks!

Sharing Good Practise Fun Days
These days are designed to allow Forest School professionals to share good practice and ideas with one another, learn new skills and have fun! We will give you access to a fab site, lead foraging and cooking activities, including supplying food for your lunch, we will allow likeminded people to share their ideas and network over coffee and cake. We will promise to have shelter from any rain with a warm fire burning and kettles always on. We will add a little fun to the day by allowing you to have a turn in the archery lane, a shelter building competition and a turn in the woodcraft centre!
Our next fun & sharing skills day is Saturday 21st April 2018, 10am-3pm, the cost will be £40 per head and will include all snacks & drinks, cooked food and resources for the day! Booking is essential and will require a £10 deposit. Please email or text me your details and pay your deposit by BACS to secure your booking!

Terms and conditions:
A 50% deposit is required before any booking is treated as confirmed, for late bookings a deposit will be required immediately. If a deposit is not received within a week the booking will be considered cancelled! Party number must be confirmed two days prior to the booked event and final payment will be in accordance with this number unless is n increase in numbers attending. A reduction cannot be made due to staff levels which must be confirmed two days prior to an event.
